Wilderness Wood

Ideal for: Couples, Everyone, Families, Older Flyers, Physically Impaired, Solo Flyers
A wonderful family venue that offers a golden opportunity to get up close and personal with nature. You’ll also find plenty of enjoyable activities on the schedule.

In an increasingly hectic world, it’s not always easy to set aside some quality time. Here at the wonderful Wilderness Wood, however, you’ll find the perfect location for relaxation and reflection, as well as for discovering some of the magical gifts that Mother Nature has given us. It’s ideal for all ages, so make sure you create a space in the diary for some rewarding adventures.

Wilderness Wood has 62 glorious acres of coppiced woods to offer, with a diverse selection of trees that includes the likes of beech, Scots pine, Douglas fir, giant sequoia and cedar. You’ll also find a kitchen garden, grassy paddocks and even a Christmas tree field! It’s a popular place to go in East Sussex for both school parties and families, and it’s easy to see why.

One of the most enjoyable activities here is the woodland trail, which takes you around the perimeter of the wood. There’s a wonderful sense of escapism here, as you stroll through the idyllic countryside, perhaps with the kids, the dog or just a friend or loved one, well away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Of course, tasty refreshments should always be part of a good day out, and here at Wilderness Wood you can head to The Hatch for some well-deserved hot and cold drinks and home-made cake. What more could you possibly want?

Wilderness Wood is located at Hadlow Down in East Sussex, within easy reach of Uckfield and Crowborough. If you’re looking to get out and about anytime soon, this could just the place to be.
