Those who live and work in Sussex have a lot to be thankful for, and chief among these bountiful benefits are the ability to find great food and the opportunity to spend time in the glorious countryside. The Wildflower Café, put simply, is in the perfect spot for both, so bring your camera AND your hunger pangs when you get the chance to pay a visit.
Located on a working farm close to the famous Devil’s Dyke, the café offers you the ideal excuse to settle in and switch off from the hustle and bustle. You’ll find a fabulous range of mouth-watering temptations, including the likes of Welsh rarebit, falafel, wraps and more. Be sure to try the spinach bread, which has become a great favourite with young and old alike.
And when you’ve had your fill, you can head off and explore the great outdoors. There’s a wonderful circular walk to be enjoyed from here, which gives you an opportunity to pop in again afterwards and cool down with a drink. Or if you prefer, you can park in one of the nearby villages and enjoy a stroll to the café before rewarding yourself with some well-deserved refreshments.
The Wildflower Café is to be found on Saddlescombe Farm, and is within easy reach of Brighton, Burgess Hill and Worthing.
