The Mad Catter Cat Café

Ideal for: Couples, Everyone, Families, Older Flyers, Physically Impaired, Solo Flyers
Family-run business with several cats that have grown up in the café. The days are never dull as the cats provide constant entertainment during their everyday shenanigans.

We all like to settle in amongst pleasant surroundings and treat ourselves to a drink and a slice of cake, don’t we? There’s something truly relaxing about the experience, especially when we feel completely at ease amid a comfortable environment. Having said that, if you’re ever in Eastbourne, there’s a café that, to put it mildly, is more than a little bit different.

The Mad Catter Café offers more than refreshing drinks, comfy seating and delicious food. As the name suggests, there’s a feline presence here, and it’s well worth checking out. If you like cats, there are plenty of them to see and, more importantly, to interact with. Put simply, the cats here are part of the café itself, and many of them have actually been born there.

This eatery with a difference is open to adults, and children aged six and upwards are also welcome. Make sure you all like cats, though, because there’s every chance that one or more of them will come up and say hello while you’re here. If you welcome the idea of teacakes with a tabby, this is definitely the place for you.

You’ll find the Mad Catter Café right in the heart of Eastbourne, just a few yards from the train station. The number of visitors is kept to just 20 at a time, to avoid overwhelming the feline population, so be sure to book in advance.
