The Hannah Peschar Sculpture Garden

There’s something wonderfully soothing about an escape from the hustle and bustle, and here in rural Surrey you’ll find something very special indeed. The Hannah Peschar Sculpture Garden has been delighting visitors for decades, and it really should be on the must-see list for all adults, as well as children aged 12 or more.

Located in Ockley and within easy reach of Dorking, Horsham and Cranleigh, the Hannah Peschar Sculpture Garden is home to 200 or more contemporary artworks, many of which are for sale. And while the pieces are extremely impressively, the way they are presented is equally iconic.

The gardens themselves provide a wonderfully natural framing, designed to please the eye from the very first glance. Once part of a larger estate that was laid out in the 1910s, the gardens now boast mature trees, bold plant groups and three attractive new ponds.

You’ll also enjoy spending time in the Indoor Gallery, which houses ceramics and smaller sculptures that are too delicate to be exhibited outside.  The Hannah Peschar Sculpture Garden is open throughout the summer, but you must book tickets in advance.
