In some cafés, you pop in, have a drink or a bite to eat, and pop out again. It’s all very pleasant, of course, but have you ever wondered if there could be something more? If you have, then the wonderful Art House Café needs to be on your must-visit list. Suitable for all ages and all tastes, it’s located right in the heart of Eastbourne, just a short walk from the train station and from the town’s iconic pier. We have a feeling you’ll want to come back time and time again in the future.
Key to the success of the Art House Café is the fabulous range of activities that are on offer, for both children and adults alike. How would you like to try your hand at pottery painting, for example, or perhaps sign up to one of their art classes? Or if you prefer masterpieces that are edible and delicious, you can say yes to the cookery school. And if you think you can create something special on a potter’s wheel, come along and give it a try?
Needless to say, this is also a wonderful place in which to eat and drink. The Art House Café offers a superb range of locally roasted coffees, for example, and is open for breakfasts, lunches and afternoon treats. And once a month they host a popular supper club, which has a range of different themes throughout the year. These are a little like having a dinner party without having to cook or tidy up. What could be more fun?
