It’s worth noting, however, that Raystede is also an excellent venue for an East Sussex day out in its own right. The sanctuary area offers 9.5 acres of glorious countryside, including two lakes, so it’s perfect for a peaceful stroll with the family, and dogs on leads are also welcome here.

Here you’ll find a great range of food for your four-legged and feathered friends, as well as all the accessories you might ever need. And for the humans, there’s a tempting selection of hot and cold food and drinks to be enjoyed at Café Raystede, so be sure to stop awhile and smell the coffee… and drink it, too!
