Mount Caburn Walk

Ideal for: Couples, Families, Solo Flyers
Get out and about and explore this glorious walk through the East Sussex countryside

The countryside in East Sussex is perfect for walking, offering rolling hills, picturesque valleys and scenic coastal paths. Rich in history, with landmarks known all over the world, it combines breathtaking views, diverse wildlife and well-maintained trails, making it an idyllic destination for walkers of all levels. And one of the most impressive can be found in and around the pretty village of Glynde.

The hugely enjoyable Mount Caburn Walk is suitable for experienced walkers, covering a distance of around 8.5 kilometres and featuring an occasionally steep climb to the summit. Highlights along the way include the 150-metre Mount Caburn, views of Glynde village and the historic Glynde Place and the Ouse Valley. Sometimes nothing beats a pleasant walk through the idyllic South Downs National Park.

Of course, you can adapt your walk to suit your own abilities, time constraints and the like, but if you get all the way to Lewes you’ll find a great range of pubs and cafés in which to relax after all your efforts. Sometimes, settling back with a drink and a bite to eat at times like these is the best feeling of them all.
