Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens

Ideal for: Couples, Everyone, Families, Older Flyers, Physically Impaired, Solo Flyers
Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens is the perfect spot for long, serene walks accompanied by the beauty of nature. There's plenty to see and do along the way, so don those walking shoes and take as long as you like.

There are times when a day out at a formal garden is as soothing and rewarding as it gets, and here at Leonardslee you’ll find one of the finest gardens in the whole of the country. There’s so much to see and do here, so make sure you set aside enough time to really make the most of your visit.

Gentle strolls through the tranquil gardens are a must, in part because there are so many fabulous features to enjoy along the way. They include rare trees and shrubs, a superb ornamental rock garden, lawn and forest areas and a chance to see deer and a rare colony of wallabies.

There really is something for everyone here. Leonardslee’s celebrated rock garden dates back to the time of Queen Victoria, having been created in 1890 by James Pulham & Sons. And your little ones will want to enjoy the immersive play park which has recently been installed. Look out for events throughout the year, too, because this venue often plays host to special occasions. No wonder it's one of the more popular day out venues in West Sussex.

Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens is located close to Horsham, and is within easy reach of Crawley, Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill. You and your party can look forward to some tempting food and drink options, including the Clocktower Kitchen and, seasonally, the Engine House Café.
