Lancing Beach

Beautiful beaches are many and varied in West Sussex, so even in busy periods it’s usually easy to find a place to unwind in style. Lancing Beach, located between the towns of Shoreham and Worthing, is popular with visitors of all ages, and is ideal for some quality time with friends or family. And of course, if you just want some ‘You Time’ in which to relax, that’s perfectly fine as well. 

One of the more pleasing features of Lancing Beach is the colourful row of beautiful beach huts, such a pleasing sight on a summer’s morning! At the southern end of the beach you’ll find a number of exciting water sports on offer, including the likes of windsurfing and kitesurfing. In the winter months especially, you’ll often find groups of surfers taking to the waves, too. 

Lancing Beach is a shingle surface, although at low tide you’ll find plenty of compacted sand that’s just perfect for walks with the dog, the kids or a friend or two. A few yards inland lies the excellent Lancing Beach Green, which is popular with both locals and visitors alike. There’s BMX riding and a skatepark to enjoy, and plenty of room to spread out and enjoy a tasty picnic. Alternatively, savour a delicious meal at the local café, accompanied of course by a refreshing drink or two.
