There’s so much to see and do at Hobbledown, one of the most popular spots for a family day out in the whole of Surrey. Nestled in a lovely rural location within easy reach of the whole county, this is an indoor and outdoor wonderland that kids of all ages will want to fully explore. One of the best ways to begin your visit is to spend time in the play barn to enable the youngsters to let off some steam for a while.
Later, why not check out the extensive range of animals to be found here? There are camels, meerkats, giant rabbits, goats, lemurs and more to meet, and in the raptor centre there are several magnificent birds of prey. Other highlights include the thinkery, the mining village, the imaginarium and the excellent Fern’s castle.
If you’d like to get even more out of your day, take a look at the various experiences that are on offer. You can feed the meerkats, for example, or meet the armadillos. There’s even a chance for your little ones to become a zookeeper for the day. Hobbledown is geared towards making days out unforgettable, so get ready for something very special indeed.
Every great day out deserves great food, of course, and you and your clan can settle in for some delicious dining at the excellent Hobnosh bar, located in the main barn. On peak days, there’s also the pizza cottage for even more yumminess.
Much bigger than I’d realised, with so much to do across a big area. Parking easy, friendly staff, indoor play as well as outside so we had plenty to do with our children aged 6 and 8.
