Brighton Toy and Model Museum

Ideal for: Everyone, Families, Physically Impaired
Brighton Toy and Model Museum is an independent toy museum situated close to the city's main railway station. Its collection focuses on toys and models produced in the UK and Europe up until the mid-20th century.

Museums aren’t always to everyone’s taste, of course, but the oh so wonderful Brighton Toy Museum really does have something to suit all visitors. We all love to go back in time when we get the chance, and in this unique environment you can return to your childhood, a period when the most important things in the world were toys, games and very little else.

Perhaps the focal point of the museum is the central layout, a superb model railway featuring carriages, buildings, vehicles and more. Be sure to spend some time here to take in the incredible sights and sounds of a truly wonderful attraction. Other highlights include a display of radio-controlled aircraft and a historic selection of slot machines from a bygone age. With more than 60 separate display areas, you just know there’s something for everyone to enjoy here.

The many famous-name brands to be seen at Brighton Toy Museum include the likes of Lego, Hornby, Meccano and Triang. The facility is located right in the heart of the city, below the main railway station. Day tickets enable visitors to come and go as they please throughout the day, so you and your party can easily head out for a bite to eat in one of the local cafés and return to enjoy yet more of the exhibits.
