If you want pumpkin picking with a serious WOW factor, Tulleys Pumpkin Festival is hard to beat. Claimed to be Europe’s largest pumpkin festival, Tulleys has more than 1.5 million pumpkins and gourds, with over 100 varieties grown at the farm. For 2026, there’s also a brand-new area called The Pumpkin Valley, featuring giant pumpkin sculptures, ponds, streams, bridges and even more places to explore.
Entry starts from £8.95, with prices varying by date. Your ticket includes parking and access to the pumpkin fields, Pumpkin Valley, photo opportunities, roaming characters, musicians and Pumpkin Village. Pumpkins are bought separately and range from around £1 to £25 for the enormous ones.

Secretts is one of Surrey’s best-known PYO farms and grows around 100,000 pumpkins each year for its hugely popular Pumpkin Week. Rather than simply grabbing a pumpkin from a supermarket, you get the proper muddy-boots experience of heading into the field and choosing your own. Secretts is particularly good if you want to combine pumpkin picking in Surrey with seasonal food. The farm is well known for its Pumpkin Week menu, which has previously included dishes made with its home-grown pumpkins, alongside coffee and sweet treats.

Set in a meadow beside the River Crane, the pumpkin patch combines rows of pumpkins with seasonal games, themed photo points, entertainment and autumn food and drink. For a more traditional pumpkin picking experience in East Sussex, put South Farm Rodmell on your autumn list. Unlike pumpkin events where pumpkins are brought in and arranged for visitors, South Farm’s pumpkins are actually grown in the field. There are different colours, shapes and varieties to hunt for, making this a lovely choice if the actual picking is more important to you than fairground rides and entertainment.
The farm has confirmed that its pumpkin field is planned to return in October 2026, although exact dates haven’t yet been announced. Pumpkins are priced according to size, starting from £1, and parking is free.
