Five Ashes Plantation

Ideal for: Families
Pick the perfect festive tree at the excellent Five Ashes Plantation this Christmas

There’s something stylish and life-affirming about heading off to a fabulous rural retreat to pick your own Christmas tree. Perhaps it’s the opportunity to do something festive with the family, perhaps it’s the chance to create (or even continue) a yuletide tradition, or maybe you just prefer to support a local business rather than a high street giant. Whatever your reasons, you have a number of options right across Surrey and Sussex this year.

The excellent Five Ashes Plantation deserves to be right up there with the best. You’ll find plenty of pre-cut trees in the barn, ready and waiting to be selected. Or, if you’re feeling a little more adventurous, you can head out to the field to cut down your very own one instead. They’ll even lend you a saw if you want!

And when you come back from the field, you can pop into their Christmas shop to browse a fantastic selection of gifts, decorations and so much more. December is such a special time of year, and it feels even more special at Five Ashes Plantation. You’ll find it close to Heathfield where the A272 and A267 meet.
