Goring Beach

Ideal for: Couples, Everyone, Families, Older Flyers, Physically Impaired, Solo Flyers
Something of a hidden gem, Goring Beach is perfect for relaxing days doing very little, or exciting days spent on the water.

More commonly known as Goring, the West Sussex village of Goring-by-Sea is located to the west of Worthing and the east of Littlehampton. It’s a peaceful little spot with an excellent beach that’s popular with families, dog walkers, day visitors and tourists from across the UK and beyond. While you’ll find plenty of amusement arcades and such in nearby Worthing, here in Goring you’ll find a picturesque backdrop of fishing boats and traditional beach huts.

The sand and shingle beach offers a pleasant café and restaurant, as well as a shop and a nearby pub. You can enjoy a great selection of watersports in the area, including the likes of jet-skiing, kite surfing, sailing and windsurfing. Of course, if all you want to do is lie back and soak up the sun, that’s perfectly fine, too.

And should you feel the need to wander into the village for a while, you can explore an excellent range of shops, restaurants and takeaway food stores. The beach is a 30-minute or so walk from the railway station. If you enjoy life on two wheels, there’s an excellent seafront ride from Goring that takes you right into the heart of Worthing.
