Bedelands Farm Local Nature Reserve

Nestled on the northern edge of Burgess Hill, just off Maple Drive, Bedelands Farm Local Nature Reserve is an oasis of green. Spanning 80 acres, the Nature Reserve is a wonderful place to meander through. It offers an escape into nature with ancient woodlands, streams and ponds, boardwalks and expansive meadows, to satisfy nature enthusiasts looking for a place to walk and ponder. Four-legged visitors are also welcome.

The Nature Reserve is designated as a Site of Nature Conservation Importance (SNCI) and in 2013, one of its meadows, Valebridge Common Field, received additional recognition as a Coronation Meadow, an initiative inspired and instigated by His Majesty the King.

Owned by Mid Sussex District Council and maintained with the help of the Friends of Burgess Hill Green Circle Network, Bedelands Nature Reserve is the perfect spot for a leisurely stroll in peaceful surroundings.

In April, the woodlands burst into colour with bluebells and as the weather get warmer, the meadows become a haven for wild flowers and insects.
